Our Story

ibouteek Inc. is 100% US Owned and Operated. It was founded in the Fall of 2017. We are a small business based out of the Washington DC metro area.

How it all started?

My journey started in the early 1990s when I came to the United States to study. I already had a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and came here from New Delhi, India, to get my Master’s in Computer Science.

After I graduated, I worked for almost 20 years in various Information Technology (IT) Corporate roles for Fortune 500 companies.

And then a dream came true …

I have always dreamed of owning my own business. That dream came true in the Fall of 2015 when I founded Asterikx Inc. I was meeting with my ex-boss at Starbucks. She had an opportunity, and I had the “drive” and “dream”.

I wanted to start my own company.

At Asterikx, I provided Business Solutions and Strategy to Federal Government Agencies, namely, General Services Administration (GSA), and National Institutes of Health (NIH).

That was fun, but I wanted to do more! One day in the summer of 2017, I came across an article about the future of eCommerce, and that was a light bulb awakening. I started to look into the various eCommerce platforms.

I got obsessed and wanted to learn everything I could. With NO experience in eCommerce, I started ibouteek Inc. in the Fall of 2017.

Let me tell you, being an entrepreneur and running your OWN business is NOT easy, but it’s the best thing I have ever done. If I can do it, you can do it. All you have to do is have a DREAM, BE HUNGRY, and TAKE ACTION.

Yes, I know easier said than done! And yes, it’s scary, but you’ve heard of “No Risk, No Reward.”
